Guidelines on the investigation and management of venous thrombosis at unusual sites - British Society for Haematology (BSH)

This is a new portmanteau guideline designed to deal with a number of rarer thrombotic problems not dealt with in other guidelines but not meriting a guideline of their own. The thrombosis dealt with are: Cerebral sinus thrombosis, retinal vein thrombosis, upper extremity thrombosis, vena caval thrombosis, abdominal (splanchnic) vein thrombosis, genito-urinary thrombosis and superficial vein thrombosis. For each type the epidemiology, diagnosis and management are discussed.

The guideline has been reviewed and an addendum has been written on 25 March 2022.
