Buscopan Ampoules are indicated in acute spasm, as in renal or biliary colic, in radiology for differential diagnosis of obstruction and to reduce spasm and pain in pyelography, and in other diagnostic procedures where spasm may be a problem, e.g. gastro-duodenal endoscopy.
Water for Injections BP is used as a dissolvent and diluent for injectable medicines.
Prevention and treatment of haemorrhages due to general or local fibrinolysis in adults and children from one year. Specific indications include: • Haemorrhage caused by general or local fibrinolysis such as: • Menorrhagia and metrorrhagia • Gastrointestinal bleeding • Haemorrhagic urinary disorders, further to prostate surgery or surgical procedures affecting the urinary tract • Ear Nose Throat surgery (adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, dental extractions) • Gynaecological surgery or disorders of obstetric origin • Thoracic and abdominal surgery and other major surgical intervention such as cardiovascular surgery • Management of haemorrhage due to the administration of a fibrinolytic agent
Antibacterial. Serious infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive organisms, staphylococci (both penicillinase- and non-penicillinase-producing), streptococci (except Streptococcus faecalis ) and pneumococci. It is also indicated in serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic pathogens such as Bacteroides spp, Fusobacterium spp, Propionibacterium spp, Peptostreptococcus spp. and microaerophilic streptococci. Clindamycin does not penetrate the blood/brain barrier in therapeutically effective quantities. Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents including national and local guidelines
Control of hypertensive crises, and to obtain more rapid blood pressure control.
Pabrinex is indicated in adults and children for rapid therapy of severe depletion or malabsorption of the water soluble vitamins B and C: • particularly in alcoholism, where a severe depletion of thiamine can lead to Wernicke's encephalopathy • after acute infections • post-operatively • in psychiatric states Also used to maintain levels of vitamin B and C in patients on chronic intermittent haemodialysis.
Atropine sulfate Solution for injection is used: • As a preoperative medication for the reduction of salivary and bronchial secretions. • During cardiopulmonary resuscitation to treat sinus bradycardia or asystole. • For management of bradycardia of acute myocardial infarction. • For prevention of cholinergic effects on the heart (e.g. arrhythmias, bradycardia) during surgery. • For treatment of symptomatic sinus bradycardia induced by drugs or toxic substances such as pilocarpine, organophosphate pesticides, amanita muscaria mushrooms. • In combination with neostigmine during reversal of effect of non-depolarising muscle relaxants.
For all forms of pulmonary and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis.
Ampoules for im use : The ampoules are effective in acute forms of pain, including renal colic, exacerbations of osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis, acute back pain, acute gout, acute trauma and fractures, and post-operative pain. Ampoules used in intravenous infusion : For treatment or prevention of post-operative pain in the hospital setting.
