ViiV Healthcare, the global specialist HIV company majority owned by GSK, with Pfizer and Shionogi as shareholders, announced the FDA approved Dovato (dolutegravir/lamivudine) for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adolescents 12 years of age and older and weighing at least 25 kg with no antiretroviral (ARV) treatment history or to replace the current ARV regimen in those who are virologically suppressed (HIV-1 RNA less than 50 copies/mL) on a stable ARV regimen with no history of treatment failure and no known substitutions associated with resistance to the individual components of Dovato
Lamivudine 100 mg film-coated tablets is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults with: compensated liver disease with evidence of active viral replication, persistently elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and histological evidence of active liver inflammation and/or fibrosis. Initiation of lamivudine treatment should only be considered when the use of an alternative antiviral agent with a higher genetic barrier is not available or appropriate (see section 5.1). decompensated liver disease in combination with a second agent without cross- resistance to lamivudine (see section 4.2).
Lamivudine is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults with: • compensated liver disease with evidence of active viral replication, persistently elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and histological evidence of active liver inflammation and/or fibrosis. Initiation of lamivudine treatment should only be considered when the use of an alternative antiviral agent with a higher genetic barrier is not available or appropriate (see section 5.1). • decompensated liver disease in combination with a second agent without cross-resistance to lamivudine (see section 4.2).
Lamivudine Accord is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults with: ▪ compensated liver disease with evidence of active viral replication, persistently elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and histological evidence of active liver inflammation and/or fibrosis. Initiation of lamivudine treatment should only be considered when the use of an alternative antiviral agent with a higher genetic barrier is not available or appropriate (see section 5.1). ▪ decompensated liver disease in combination with a second agent without cross-resistance to lamivudine (see section 4.2).
The purpose of this trial is to assess the non-inferior antiviral activity of GSK1349572 50 mg plus Abacavir/Lamivudine once daily...
Abacavir/Lamivudine is indicated in antiretroviral combination therapy for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults, adolescents and children weighing at least 25 kg (see sections 4.4 and 5.1). Before initiating treatment with abacavir, screening for carriage of the HLA- B*5701 allele should be performed in any HIV-infected patient, irrespective of racial origin (see section 4.4). Abacavir should not be used in patients known to carry the HLA-B*5701 allele.
