‘Oncologists of today must adapt to rapid changes in practice. The promising results of immunotherapies in oncology are generating increasing interest from the oncology community and have the potential to become the standard of care’ - This is the message presented by the organisers of the launch of the ESMO Immuno Oncology Congress, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from the 7th to the 10th December.

ESMO, the European Society for Medical Oncology, bring you a new scientific meeting devoted solely to the development and use of immunotherapies against cancer. The meeting hopes to help oncologists with the application of the latest standard of care in the immunotherapy of cancer.

The main themes of the scientific programme are as follows:

  • Combining immune checkpoint inhibitors with chemotherapy or radiotherapy and beyond
  • Patient selection and predictive biomarkers
  • Management of side effects
  • Resistance to therapy
  • Imaging and nuclear medicine and design of immuno-oncology trials
  • What’s new in specific cancer types
  • Technological developments
  • Future approaches: Adoptive T cell therapy, personalised vaccines, cancer neoantigens, use of bacteria for immunotherapy

EACCME® have accredited this scientific meeting with 22 European CME credits for attendees to claim.

Attendees are welcome at the Palexpo exhibition and congress centre in Geneva where networking and sharing ideas with peers is made possible.
