The Mental Health Foundation, a UK charity, launches Mental Health Awareness Week from 8–14 May

The goal to tackling mental health issues should not merely be to live with poor mental health but to thrive with good mental health. Too many people suffer with increasing lifestyle demands and have come to accept anxiety, stress and depression as part and parcel of life. The charity want to prompt a national conversation about what we can do as individuals and as communities to move from the survive mindset to one where we can truly embrace life.

This year the focus of Mental Awareness Week will be to recognise that a shift from ‘survive’ to ‘thrive’ is key to experiencing good mental health.
