CDC recommends Prevnar 13 to protect adults aged 65 years and older against Pneumococcal Disease- Pfizer

Pfizer Inc. announced that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention�s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted to recommend Prevnar 13 (Pneumococcal 13-valent Conjugate Vaccine [Diphtheria CRM197 Protein])PCV13) for routine use to help protect adults aged 65 years and older against pneumococcal disease, which includes pneumonia caused by the 13 pneumococcal serotypes included in the vaccine.
