FDA approves Gonal-f pen injector (EMD Serono) for Fertility Treatment
The FDA has granted approval to EMD Serono for Gonal-f RFF Redi-ject (follitropin alfa injection), a disposable pre-filled drug injector pen intended for the subcutaneous injection of a liquid formulation of Gonal-f RFF (Revised Formulation Female). Gonal-f RFF Redi-ject is part of a family of prefilled pens designed for patient self-administration. The Gonal-f RFF Redi-ject will be available in the US in December 2013. The drug was first approved in the US in 1997.
