Brana Vita, a wheat bran, from Fugeia NV, is associated with an increase in gut levels of bifidobacteria according to a placebo controlled trial published in the British Journal of Nutrition.Results showed that 10 grams produced significant changes to levels of bifidobacteria in the faeces and an increase in short chain fatty acids.see British Journal of Nutrition published online ahead of print First View Article doi:10.1017/S0007114512000372
