Decrease of elevated intraocular pressure in adult patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma (see section 5.1). Decrease of elevated intraocular pressure in paediatric patients aged 2 months to < 18 years with ocular hypertension or paediatric glaucoma (see section 5.1).
Treatment of Paget's disease of the bone.
Treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, to reduce the risk of vertebral fractures. Treatment of established postmenopausal osteoporosis, to reduce the risk of hip fractures. Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women with increased risk of osteoporosis (see section 5.1). To maintain or increase bone mass in postmenopausal women undergoing long-term (more than 3 months), systemic corticosteroid treatment at doses ≥ 7.5 mg/day prednisone or equivalent.
Brinzolamide is indicated to decrease elevated intraocular pressure in: • ocular hypertension • open-angle glaucoma as monotherapy in adult patients unresponsive to beta-blockers or in adult patients in whom beta-blockers are contraindicated or as adjunctive therapy to beta-blockers or prostaglandin analogues (see also section 5.1).
