From the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Andrology 2016, held in Saarbrücken, Germany, experts were given a platform to discuss obesity, reduced testosterone and hypogonadism.

Klinefelter 2016

These lectures, from an international meeting focused on the different aspects of Klinefelter Syndrome ranging from X inactivation to neuropsychological effects. These lectures discuss the background of the condition, its prevalence and the importance of timely diagnosis, the excess morbidity and mortality caused by the disease and evidence demonstrating the benefits of appropriate preventative treatment.

4th Primary Care Conference: Issues and Answers In Cardiovascular Disease

6-7 November 15 - Nottingham, UK

This primary care conference serves to provide professionals with the knowledge and understanding that will enable them to deliver best practice to their patients, particularly those with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, renal disease and related disorders. It was held in 2015 at the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) in Nottingham, UK and featured a presentation from Professor Geoff Hackett from the University of Bedfordshire in which the effects of testosterone on cardivascular health were discussed.

After a basic intro on hypogonadism, this series of lectures presents the latest on the association of testosterone, obesity and diabetes and provocative new research on testosterone, prostate cancer and LUTS. It also addresses the controversial issue of testosterone therapy and “Hormonophobia”.

In this lecture Dr Saad presents effects of long-term testosterone treatment in obese hypogonadal men with and without type 2 diabetes, and Dr Maggi gives a perspective on testosterone and cardiovascular risk.

From Europe’s largest annual urology event, covering topics such as long-term treatment with testosterone undecanoate, TRT and prostate health, and importance of achieving threshold testosterone levels, as well as a discussion on how to deal with flawed and misleading studies.
