Clarithromycin film-coated tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following bacterial infections in adults and children 12 years and older, when caused by clarithromycin-susceptible bacteria (see section 4.4 and 5.1): - Bacterial pharyngitis - Mild to moderate community acquired pneumonia - Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed) - Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis - Skin infections and soft tissue infections of mild to moderate severity, - In appropriate combination with antibacterial therapeutic regimens and an appropriate ulcer healing agent for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with Helicobacter pylori associated ulcers (see section 4.2) Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
Adults and adolescents 12 years of age and above • Reflux oesophagitis. Adults • Eradication of Helicobacter pylori ( H. pylori ) in combination with appropriate antibiotic therapy in patients with H. pylori associated ulcers. • Gastric and duodenal ulcer. • Zollinger-Ellison-Syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions.
Omeprazole gastro resistant tablets are indicated for: Adults • Treatment of duodenal ulcers • Prevention of relapse of duodenal ulcers • Treatment of gastric ulcers • Prevention of relapse of gastric ulcers • In combination with appropriate antibiotics, Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication in peptic ulcer disease • Treatment of NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers • Prevention of NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients at risk • Treatment of reflux oesophagitis • Long-term management of patients with healed reflux oesophagitis • Treatment of symptomatic gastro-oesophageal reflux disease • Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
