Acute Migraine Treatments

There are a number of acute therapies available for the treatment of migraine. These include medications that are specific to the treatment of migraine, such as the triptans and ergot alkaloids, or non-specific medications such as simple analgesics or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
