| Indications : | Treatment of tuberculosis only in conjunction with other anti- tuberculous drugs. |
| Adult Dosage : | 20-35 mg/kg daily in divided 20-35 mg/kg daily in divided doses; maximum 3 g daily. |
| Child Dosage : | Not recommended. |
| Contra Indications : | Liver disease. Lactation. Hyperuricaemia and/or acute gouty arthritis. |
| Special Precautions : | Perform frequent liver function tests and blood uric acid determinations. Renal insufficiency. History of gout or diabetes. Withdraw treatment if liver damage or hyperuricaemia accompanied by acute gouty arthritis occurs. Pregnancy. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Hepatic reactions, hepatomegaly, jaundice, gout, sideroblastic anaemia, arthralgia, anorexia, nausea, dysuria, malaise, urticaria, aggravation of peptic ulcer. |
