| Drug description : | Valoid Tablets: white scored tablets marked WELLCOME T4A. Valoid Injection: ampoules. |
| Presentation : | Valoid Tablets: Cyclizine hydrochloride 50 mg . Valoid Injection: Cyclizine lactate 50mg per mL. |
| Indications : | Nausea and vomiting including Nausea and vomiting including that induced by narcotic analgesics, anaesthetics or radiotherapy, motion sickness, vertigo and labyrinthine disorders. |
| Adult Dosage : | 50 mg three times daily orally or by intramuscular or intravenous injection. Post-operative nausea, 50 mg 15 - 20 minutes before surgery ends. |
| Child Dosage : | Under 6 years, not recommended; 6 - 12 years, 25 mg orally up to three times daily. |
| Contra Indications : | Severe heart failure. Pregnancy. |
| Special Precautions : | May cause drowsiness and, if affected, patients should not drive or operate machinery requiring alertness; patients should be warned of this. Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, epilepsy, hepatic dysfunction, pregnancy and lactation. |
| Interactions : | CNS depressants and alcohol. Anticholinergic drugs. |
| Adverse Reactions : | CNS and GI effects. Anticholinergic reactions. Allergy and blood disorders. |
