| Indications : | Adjunct in osteoporosis, supplement in dietary calcium deficiency or where requirements are high. |
| Adult Dosage : | Osteoporosis, 1 - 2 g daily. Supplement, 0 .4 - 2 g daily. All dissolved in water. |
| Child Dosage : | 0.4 - 1 g daily. All dissolved in water. |
| Contra Indications : | Hypercalcaemia, severe hypercalciuria, renal calculi. |
| Special Precautions : | In mild hypercalciuria or renal failure, monitor urinary calcium levels. |
| Interactions : | Thiazides, high dose vitamin D, tetracyclines, fluoride supplements. |
| Adverse Reactions : | GI upset, hypercalcaemia. |
