Drug details for : REGAINE
 
Drug class description :  Hair restorers.
Generic Name :  Minoxidil
Drug description :  Liquid.
Presentation :  Liquid, minoxidil 2%, 5%. Regaine is not prescribable on the NHS.
Indications :  Alopecia androgenetica.
Adult Dosage :  1 mL applied to scalp twice daily for minimum 4 months. Continue treatment or hair loss will recur.
Child Dosage :  Not applicable.
Contra Indications :  Sensitivity to minoxidil, ethanol or propylene glycol. Treated/ untreated hypertension. Scalp abnormality (psoriasis or sunburn). Shaved scalp. If topical medication is being used.
Special Precautions :  Broken skin. Hypertension; monitor BP. Should not be used during pregnancy or lactation.
Adverse Reactions :  Dermatitis.
