| Indications : | Treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections caused by ampicillin-sensitive organisms. Typical indications include: ear, nose and throat infections; bronchitis; pneumonia; urinary tract infections; gonorrhoea; gynaecological infections; septicaemia; peritonitis; endocarditis; meningitis; enteric fever; gastrointestinal infections. |
| Adult Dosage : | Penbritin Capsules: 250 mg - 1 g six hourly. Penbritin Injection: 250 - 500 mg four to six times daily by intramuscular or intravenous injection. |
| Child Dosage : | Penbritin Capsules: 125 - 250 mg six hourly. Penbritin Injection: Half adult dose. |
