| Indications : | Prophylaxis of angina and prevention of secondary MI. |
| Adult Dosage : | Imazin XL: One or two tablets to be taken in the morning. Imazin XL Forte: One to be taken in the morning. |
| Child Dosage : | Not recommended. |
| Contra Indications : | Severe cerebrovascular insufficiency, cerebral haemorrhage, hypotension, hypovolaemia, head injury, marked anaemia, acute MI with low left ventricular filling pressure, ventricular filling pressure, peptic ulceration, bleeding disorders, aspirin / anti- inflammatory induced allergies. |
| Special Precautions : | Renal or hepatic insufficiency, glaucoma, hypothyroidism, malnutrition, hypothermia, G-6-PD deficiency. Pregnancy and lactation. |
| Interactions : | Anticoagulants, oral hypoglycaemics, phenytoin, sodium valproate, metoclopramide, methotrexate, sulphonamides, corticosteroids, NSAIDs, probenacid, antihypertensives, diuretics. |
