Suspension, ibuprofen 100mg/5mL. Available from Lagap, Numark. Note. | Indications : | Mild to moderate pain. |
| Adult Dosage : | Initially, 1.2-1.8g daily in three to four divided doses, take after food. Maximum daily dose, 2.4g. |
| Child Dosage : | 20mg/kg/day in divided doses. In children weighing less than 30kg, maximum daily dose should not exceed 500mg. Not recommended in children weighing less than 7kg. |
| Contra Indications : | History of peptic ulceration. Bronchospasm may be precipitated in patients suffering from, or with a previous history of bronchial asthma. Patients in whom aspirin and other NSAIDs induce the symptoms of asthma, rhinitis or urticaria. |
| Special Precautions : | Renal, cardiac or hepatic impairment; monitor renal function on long term therapy. Gastrointestinal disease, asthma. Elderly. Pregnancy, lactation. |
| Interactions : | Anticoagulants, thiazide diuretics. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Dyspepsia, gastrointestinal intolerance and bleeding. Less frequently, thrombocytopenia. Nephrotoxicity. Hypersensitivity reactions. Rarely, hepatic dysfunction, headache, dizziness, hearing disturbance. |
