| Presentation : | Injection, capsular polysaccharide of Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugated to diphtheria protein 10 microgram per 0.5 mL. |
| Indications : | Immunisation of infants and children of two months to five years of age against invasive diseases caused by H. influenzae type b. |
| Adult Dosage : | Not applicable. |
| Child Dosage : | Under 2 months, not recommended; 2 - 12 months, three separate 0.5mL intramuscular injections at intervals of 4 - 8 weeks or two separate 0.5mL intramuscular injections at intervals of 6 - 8 weeks with booster dose in second year of life; 13 months to 5 years, single intramuscular injection of 0.5mL. |
| Contra Indications : | As with other vaccines, the administration of HibTiter should administration of HibTiter should be postponed in subjects suffering from acute severe febrile illness. Acute infections. Pregnancy, lactation. |
| Special Precautions : | For intramuscular use only. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Local erythema, fever, headache, malaise, irritability. Rarely, Hib disease. Erythema multiforme, Guillain-Barre Syndrome and convulsions have been observed following the administration of Haemophilus influenzae type b polysaccharide or conjugate vaccines. A cause and effect relationship has not been established. |
