| Indications : | HB-Vax II and HB-Vax II Paediatric: Active immunisation against hepatitis B virus. HB-Vax II 40: Active immunisation against hepatitis B virus in dialysis and predialysis dialysis and predialysis patients. |
| Adult Dosage : | HB-Vax II: 1 L by intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle, repeated 1 month and 6 months later. Rapid immunisation, 1 mL by intramuscular injection, repeated 1 month, 2 months and 12 months later. HB-Vax II 40: 1 mL by intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle, repeated 1 month and 6 months later. |
| Child Dosage : | HB-Vax II and HB-Vax II Paediatric: Under 16 years, 0.5 mL by intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle, repeated 1 month and 6 months later. Rapid immunisation, 0 .5 mL by intramuscular injection, repeated 1 month, 2 months and 12 months later. | Contra Indications : | Severe febrile infections. |
| Special Precautions : | Dialysed or immunocompromised patients may need further doses. Severe cardiac or respiratory dysfunction. Pregnancy, lactation. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Mild transient local soreness, erythema and induration at injection site, low grade fever, malaise, rash, nausea, dizziness. |
