| Indications : | Active immunisation against hepatitis A. |
| Adult Dosage : | Havrix Monodose: Over 16 years, primary immunisation: 1 mL by intramuscular injection into deltoid muscle. Booster: 1 mL by intramuscular injection 6 - 12 months following initial dose. Havrix Junior Monodose: Over 16 years, use Havrix Monodose. |
| Child Dosage : | Havrix Monodose: Under 16 years, Havrix Monodose: Under 16 years, use Havrix Junior Monodose. Havrix Junior Monodose: Under 1 year, not recommended; 1 - 15 years, primary immunisation: 0.5 mL. Booster: 0.5 mL 6 - 12 months following initial dose. All by intramuscular injection into deltoid muscle. |
| Contra Indications : | Severe febrile infections. |
| Special Precautions : | Start new paediatric patients with Junior Monodose; existing paediatric patients should complete their primary immunisation and booster with the original Junior formulation. Infection, haemodialysis, altered immunity. Pregnancy, lactation. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Mild transient soreness, erythema and induration at inj. site. Fever, malaise, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite. |
