The term “isolated systolic hypertension” (ISH) describes raised systolic blood pressure with normal or low diastolic blood pressure. Medicine information : FASIGYN (genital infections)
 
Drug class description :  Antiprotozoal-antibacterials.
Generic Name :  Tinidazole - Genital infections
Drug description :  White f-c tablets embossed on one side with FAS 500.
Presentation :  Tablets, tinidazole 500 mg .
Indications :  Bacterial vaginosis, urogenital trichomoniasis.
Adult Dosage :  Single dose of 4 tablets.
Child Dosage :  50 - 75 mg/kg as a single dose. Repeat once if necessary. Repeat once if necessary.
Contra Indications :  Blood dyscrasias, organic neurological disorders. 1st trimester of pregnancy, lactation. Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions :  2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Lactation - for three days after discontinuation of Fasigyn.
Interactions :  Alcohol.
Adverse Reactions :  GI distress, furred tongue, unpleasant taste. Urticaria, angioedema, CNS disturbances, dark urine. Neuropathy and transient leucopenia on long term therapy. Headache. Hypersensitivity reactions: rash, urticaria, pruritus, angio- neurotic oedema.
