| Drug description : | Pink/maroon sustained-release capsules containing off-white pellets. |
| Presentation : | Capsules, ibuprofen 300 mg . |
| Indications : | Mild to moderate pain. |
| Adult Dosage : | Initially 2 twice daily increasing to 3 twice daily if necessary; maintenance, 1 or 2 twice daily. |
| Child Dosage : | Not recommended. |
| Contra Indications : | Active peptic ulcer. Aspirin/ anti-inflammatory induced allergy. |
| Special Precautions : | Renal, cardiac or hepatic impairment; monitor on long term therapy. GI disease, asthma, elderly. Pregnancy, lactation. |
| Interactions : | Anticoagulants, thiazide diuretics, quinolones. |
| Adverse Reactions : | GI upset or haemorrhage, rash, thrombocytopenia. Report all cases of aseptic meningitis to CSM. |
