Medicine information : Aambeienzalf
 
Drug class description :  Een dun laagje creme of zalf, eventueel met een steriel gaasje, op de laesie aanbrengen. Bij aambeien: 's morgens, 's avonds en na iedere ontlasting creme of zalf aanbrengen. Bij voorkeur niet langer dan 2 weken achtereen toepassen. Max. 10 g creme/zalf per dag bij een volwassene van 70 kg.
Generic Name :  lidocaine
Drug description :  Pijn- en jeukstillend.
Presentation :  Per g zalf voor rectaal gebruik: lidocaine (hydrochloride) 50 mg, in vaseline en wolvet (Unguentum contra haemorrhoides); 30 g, 1000g
Indications :  Pijn, jeuk bij aandoeningen van huid en slijmvliezen, m.n. pruritus ani en aambeien.
Child Dosage :  Dit geneesmiddel kan, voor zover bekend zonder gevaar voor de vrucht, overeenkomstig het voorschrift worden gebruikt tijdens zwangerschap. Lidocaine gaat in kleine hoeveelheden over in de moedermelk.
Contra Indications :  Bloedende aambeien. Overgevoeligheid voor lokaal anaesthetica van het amidetype. Overgevoeligheid voor wolvet (Aambeienzalf).
Special Precautions :  Voorzichtigheid is geboden bij ernstig beschadigde slijmvliezen en/of sepsis in het gebied van de laesie. Bij optreden van bloedende aambeien of uitblijven van verbetering de toepassing niet voortzetten. Lidocaine wordt goed geresorbeerd door beschadigd epitheel, waardoor bij overmatig gebruik intoxicatie kan ontstaan met prikkeling van het centrale zenuwstelsel en depressie van het cardiovasculaire systeem.
Adverse Reactions :  Irritatie van huid en slijmvliezen. Zelden overgevoeligheidsreacties.
