| Indications : | Natriumkloridmangel. |
| Adult Dosage : | Doseringen er individuell. Doseres i henhold til serumionogrammet og syre-basenivået. |
| Elderly Dosage : | Risiko ved bruk under graviditet og amming er liten. |
| Contra Indications : | Hypernatremi eller hyperkloremi. |
| Special Precautions : | Må ikke injiseres ufortynnet. Kontroll av serumionogram, vannbalanse og syre-basenivå er nødvendig. Brukes med forsiktighet ved hypokalemi, behandling med kortikosteroider eller ACTH, metabolske acidoser, natriumretensjon og sykdommer hvor et restriktivt natriuminntak er indikert, slik som ved hjertesvikt, generalisert ødem, lungeødem, hypertensjon, eklampsi og alvorlig nyresvikt. |
| Interactions : | Økt retensjon av natrium og klorid kan forekomme ved behandling med kortikosteroider eller ACTH. |
| Adverse Reactions : | Symptomer: Hyperhydrering, hypernatremi, hyperkloremi, hyperosmolaritet og metabolsk acidose. Behandling: Tilførsel av diuretika med kontinuerlig oppfølging av elektrolyttbalansen, korrigering av elektrolyttforstyrrelser og endringer i syre-basebalansen. |
