| Indications : | Chronic reversible airways obstruction, particularly in chronic bronchitis. |
| Adult Dosage : | Atrovent: 1 or 2 puffs three or four times daily. Atrovent Forte: 1 or 2 puffs three or four times daily. Atrovent UDV: 0.4 - 2 mL nebulised up to four times daily. Atrovent Autohaler: 1 or 2 puffs three or four times daily. Atrovent Aerocaps: Contents of 1 or 2 capsules inhaled via the Aerohaler three or four times |
| Child Dosage : | Atrovent: Under 6 years, 1 puff; 6 - 12 years, 1 or 2 puffs. Both three times daily. Atrovent Forte: Under 6 years, use standard inhaler; 6 - 12 years, usually 1 puff three times daily. Atrovent UDV: Under 3 years, not recommended; over 3 years, 0.4 - 2 mL nebulised up to three times daily. Atrovent Autohaler: Under 6 years, 1 puff; 6 - 12 years, 1 or 2 puffs. | Contra Indications : | Known hypersensitivity to atropine. |
| Special Precautions : | Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy. First nebulised dose should be inhaled under medical supervision (paradoxical bronchospasm has occurred). |
