Medicine information : ALDARA
 
Drug class description :  Immunomodulators.
Generic Name :  Imiquimod
Drug description :  Cream in single use sachets.
Presentation :  Cream, imiquimod 5%.
Indications :  External genital and perianal warts.
Adult Dosage :  Apply three times per week at bedtime for up to 16 weeks. Leave 6 - 10 hours before removing by washing. Do not repeat treatment if warts recur.
Child Dosage :  Not recommended.
Special Precautions :  Uncircumcised men with warts under foreskin should wash area daily; discontinue if local reactions occur. Avoid open wounds, do not use occlusive dressings. Elderly. Pregnancy, lactation.
Interactions :  Condoms, diaphragms.
Adverse Reactions :  Local skin reactions. Report any adverse reaction to
