Migraine: Quick Check

Simple diagnostic criteria can help physicians confirm a diagnosis of migraine. In the first instance, the physician should check the patient’s symptoms against the following criteria:

Some patients have an ‘aura’ that precedes or accompanies their migraine. The aura can be visual, sensory or motor in nature, although visual aura is the most common type.
