5 ml tube containing Lactic acid Ph Eur 4.5% W/W and Glycogen Ph Eur 0.10 % W/W. - Description
Vaginal Gel. Relactagel is a soft colourless viscous gel. - Indications
Unpleasant discharges and irritation in the vagina occur when there is a significant reduction in the number of lactic acid bacteria. These bacteria are normally found in the vagina and produce acidifying lactic acid. If the numbers of lactic acid bacteria are reduced, growth of other bacteria increases, whch can cause unpleasant dscharges and irritation. Relactagel contains lactic acid whch helps to restore the normal acidic pH balance of the vagina. - Adult Dosage
Adults: Intravaginal application. For increased vaginal discharges which - 1 tube per day for 7 days at bedtime. may be associated with unpleasant odours, or irritation For prevention: - 1 single tube per day for 2- 3 days at bedtime after menstruation.
Method of Administration: Remove the cap and insert the entire neck of the tube into the vagina and squeeze out the contents. Keep squeezing the tube to maintain the pressure and withdraw the tube. Throw away the empty tube. It is recommended to use Relactagel at bedtime to prevent the gel flowing out. The use of a panty liner is recommended.

Known allergy to any of the excipients. - Special Precautions
The use of Relactagel should be avoided when one is trying to become pregnant. Studies have not been conducted to establish if Relactagel interferes with condoms.

None known. Pregnancy and Lactation - Relactagel can be used during Pregnancy. - Adverse Drug Reactions
Relactagel may cause stinging pain during fungal infections of the vagina or when there are tears in the vaginal tissue.
