  Formestane
• Presentation
  Powder for injection, formestane 250 mg .
• Description
  Powder in vial plus 2 mL diluent.
• Indications
  Advanced post-menopausal breast cancer.
• Adult Dosage
  250 mg by deep intramuscular injection fortnightly, in alternate buttock.
• Child Dosage
  Not applicable.
• Contra Indications
  Pre-menopausal women, pregnancy, lactation. Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.
• Special Precautions
  Avoid intravascular or sciatic nerve injection.
• Adverse Drug Reactions
  

  Injection site or skin reactions, hot flushes. Rarely, anaphylactoid reactions, vaginal bleeding, pelvic or muscular cramps, arthralgia, exacerbated bone pain, oedema, thrombophlebitis.
