• Presentation
  Ear drops, aluminium acetate (aluminium acetate solution BP) 13 per cent. Ear drops, aluminium acetate ear drops 8 per cent. Prepared by diluting 8 parts of aluminium acetate solution, BP, with 5 parts of purified water, freshly boiled and cooled; it must be freshly prepared.

  Otitis externa (inflammation).

  Application can be aided by using a ribbon gauze soaked in the solution. Alternatively the ear canal can be filled while the patient is lying down with head tilted to one side.
