Presentation Tablets, vitamin C (as ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate) 200 mg , 500 mg . Redoxon is not prescribable on the NHS. Ascorbic acid tablets must be prescribed generically.
Description Yellow tablets.
Indications Scurvy. Adjunct in treatment of wounds and infections.
Adult Dosage Scurvy, 500
mg - 1 g; infections, 1 g. Both two or three times daily.
Child Dosage Under 4
years, quarter adult dose; 4 - 12
years, half adult dose; 12 - 14
years, three- quarters adult dose.
