• Presentation
  Gentian mixture, acid, BP: concentrated compound gentian infusion 10%, dilute hydrochloric acid 5% in a suitable vehicle. Formula for extemporaneous preparation: concentrated gentian infusion 1mL, dilute hydrochloric acid 0.5mL, water to 10mL (should be recently prepared). Gentian mixture, alkaline, BP: cocentrated compound gentian infusion 10%, sodium bicarbonate 5 % in a suitable vehicle. Formula for extemporaneous preparation: concentrated gentian infusion 1mL, sodium bicarbonate 500mg, double strength chloroform water 5mL, water to 10mL.
• Indications
  Appetite stimulation.
• Adult Dosage
  10-20mL three times a day in water before meals.
• Child Dosage
  Not recommended.
• Contra Indications
  Renal disease.
• Special Precautions
  

  Tuberculosis.
