For dialysis patients, for the prevention and treatment of catabolism and cachexia, and hyperphosphatemia. Generally used where there is an increase in protein requirement, particularly when a reduction in phosphate and potassium is indicated. Suitable for use in gluten and fibre-free diets with defined protein and electrolyte content - Adult Dosage
According to the physician’s instructions, taking into account the nutritional condition and energy requirements of the patient. Renapro is used to supplement the diet as a drink or food, to prevent and treat conditions of protein deficiency: Haemodialysis therapy: 20 g (1 sachet) Peritoneal dialysis therapy: 20 – 40 g (1 – 2 sachets) Renapro dissolves easily in either cold or warm liquid. It can be cooked or baked and is thus suitable for use in many dishes and drinks.
Renapro is suitable for enriching the protein content of liquid diet and tube fed products, such as Renamil. Open sachets should be used immediately Food: With most foods, Renapro can simply be thinly sprinkled over the surface and slowly stirred in fruit juices, soups, sauces, soft cheese dishes, yoghurt and mashed potatoes. Renapro can be mixed with minced meat and other ingredients in readiness for baking/cooking. Like cheese, Renapro can be used sprinkled on paste and placed under the grill.
Drinks: When added to liquids such as liquid diet preparations, soups and sauces, Renapro must be fully dissolved, it is advisable to use a food processor or mixer and add the mix to the remaining liquid. Premixed solutions should be stored in a refrigerator and used within 24 hours. High-Energy, High-Protein Liquid Diets: When treating a nutritional disorder such as cachexia or Catabolism in dialysis patients, adequate energy intake must also be considered. Where necessary Renapro can be combined with the energy concentrate Renamil in the following proportions: Mix 1 sachet (20g) of Renapro with 1 sachet 9(100g) of Renamil and dissolve in 100 – 500 ml water

Renapro must be used under medical supervision Renapro is not a complete food and is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.
Renapro should not be used with children under 1 year of age Persons who are allergic to cows milk or who have absorption and digestive problems should not consume Renapro Renapro is not for parenteral use.
