Adverse Drug Reactions Hypersensitivity reactions, including pruritus, rash and including pruritus, rash and flushing. Cinchonism manifest by tinnitus, headaches, nausea. Visual disturbances, including blurred vision, photophobia and, in severe cases, optic atrophy. Other central nervous system effects, including deafness, vertigo, sweating, restlessness and confusion, have also been reported. Gastrointestinal effects. Haematological effects, including thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenic purpura. Rarely, agranulocytosis. Conduction disturbances, ventricular tachycardia and anginal symptoms reported. Hypoglycaemia. Acute renal failure.
