MANEVAC

  Bulking agents / stimulant laxatives.
• Generic Name
  Ispaghula, Tinnevelly senna fruits
• Presentation
  Granules, ispaghula 54.2%, tinnevelly senna fruits 12.4%.
• Description
  Sugar-coated granules.
• Indications
  Constipation.
• Adult Dosage
  

  5 - 10 mL at night and, if necessary, before breakfast. Obstinate cases, 10 mL six hourly for up to 3 days. Manevac should be placed dry on the tongue and, without chewing or crushing, swallowed whole with a glass of water or warm drink.

• Child Dosage
  Under 5 years, not recommended, over 5 years, 5 mL daily.
• Contra Indications
  GI obstruction.
• Adverse Drug Reactions
  Flatulence, distension, diarrhoea.
