No conducir ni manejar maquinaria peligrosa bajo su influencia. Embarazo y lactancia. Insuficiencia renal y/o hepática grave. Ancianos y debilitados. Abuso y dependencia: riesgo de dependencia psíquica y tolerancia a benzodiazepinas, especialmente tras la administración prolongada de dosis elevadas. La interrupción brusca de tratamientos prolongados (3-6 meses) puede originar síndrome de abstinencia (ansiedad, insomnio de rebote).

Somnolencia (al principio del tratamiento en ancianos). Sequedad de boca, estreñimiento, retención urinaria. Síndrome de abstinencia (tras supresión brusca de dosis altas durante varios meses).

Glaucoma de ángulo cerrado, hipetrofia protática. Miastenia gravis, atonía muscular. Obstrucción piloroduodenal. Reflujo gastroesofágico. Historial de hipersensiblidad a cualquiera de los componentes.
