Tópica. Aplicar una fina capa de pomada al 5% 1 vez al día durante 3-4 semanas. En la queratosis solar o senil se debe aplicar sin vendaje. En otras afecciones se recomienda la aplicación de un vendaje oclusivo, que se renovará diariamente.

Dermatosis preexistentes, especialmente cloasma y rosácea. No aplicar sobre membranas mucosas: ojos, nariz, boca. Los vendajes oclusivos aumentan la reacción inflamatoria sobre la piel sana adyacente a la lesión. No es recomendable una exposición prolongada al sol ante el riesgo de que puedan producirse manifestaciones de fotosensibilidad.

Sensación de quemazón en el lugar de aplicación, prurito, enrojecimiento, tumefacción, fotosensibilidad, erupciones cutáneas. Ocasionalmente: hiperpigmentación, descamación y dermatitis de contacto.
